The way it's going with his comments, it will eventually get to the point where Trump may have difficulty trumping Trump.

Guns, guns, guns

Reports of shots fired keep Cape Girardeau cops busy overnight. All this bull about the NRA and Republican legislators saying more guns on the streets will make it safer. It is only costing the American citizens more as there are so many more shootings that the police have to investigate.

President's priorities

I see where our wonderful president ordered all the flags at federal buildings and the White House be flown at half staff. It only took them about four or five days, and he finally got around to it. Probably because of all the heat he was getting for it. But he only had two or three hours to wait before he bathed the White House in rainbow colors in support of that decision from the Supreme Court on the gay marriages. But that's our president for you. What a wonderful person he is. I can't describe how I feel about this president, because I'm not allowed to use that kind of language.

Star Vue

Was looking back at some of Fred Lynch photo collections and came across The Star Vue-Drive In. Wish it was still there, even if they only showed old movies and cartoons.

Wrong place

The Gallatin News reports armed local citizens are guarding the Armed Forces Recruiting Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. The citizens say they are veterans and private citizens. Well, it looks like they were at the wrong place. They should have been at the movie theaters. The problem is there were more people than there was back in the 1800s. And now there are too many guns. Way more guns than back in the 1800s.

Politically ill

The budget stalemate in Illinois is due almost entirely to Mike Madigan's stranglehold on the Illinois House. He has been in office way too long, and has become so blinded with power that he cannot see the best interest of this state.

Two heads ...

Critics can say what they want but I think it's very cool that Southeast Missouri State University has co-presidents.

Yes, Donald Trump, you are a fool. You are a draft dodger. You couldn't even pack McCain's water.

Cigarette ban

I wish every school district would enforce the smoke-free campus policy.
