I just returned from my daily walk at Jackson City Park. I was also there last Saturday and Sunday when there was a swim meet and some type of girls softball tournament. It was so nice to see the children with the families enjoying the park, yet this past Monday morning the entire area was trashed. Litter everywhere. Park workers were there cleaning up as they have to do every day. Sports are not only there to teach children to hit, throw, catch and be competitive but some citizenship also. Not only was the spectator area littered, the dugouts were full of empty sports drink bottles. A lot of the trash was thrown down within 10 feet of a trash barrel. Who is to blame? Coaches? Umpires? Players? Parents? It's all of them. Have some pride in the facilities provided for your enjoyment.
I just got my water/sewer tax bill, and she did take a bite. For this much money, I expect a state-of-the-art sewer treatment plant.
WITH all the violence that has gone on recently on Old Route D, I think it warrants further investigation. They need to dig a little deeper there.
SO I hear if you are a Republican you call in and you say your dog's a Democrat and list a negative review. If you are a Democrat you say your cat's a Republican for all the negative reasons. Come on people. Aren't we supposed to be talking about donkeys and elephants here?
I would like to make comment to the individual who claimed they're a Republican and they're tired of the Republicans' cutting out programs like WIC. Let me get this straight. Now if you're a Republican, you're supposed to bring yourself up by your bootstraps. You're not supposed to be dependent on other people. And you're not supposed to be having babies you can't take care of. Evidently our government is afraid to stand up to these seventh-generation people who have never worked and just keep having babies to get a check and claim they're poor. Do you realize the United States is the only country where the poorest people are the fattest?
