Not affordable

The Affordable Care Act is not working. Health care is not getting more affordable. A friend of mine had to have a pain shot and the bill was more than $4,000. The insurance company got it reduced to $2,700. Who can afford that? This is not affordable or health care, and I don't see a solution.

Weather confusion

What is the difference between isolated showers and scattered showers? Weather forecasters are one of the few who get to keep their job by confusing information; they are very good candidates for politicians.

Benghazi parallel

I want to comment about history repeating itself. Benghazi reminds me of the Somali betrayal that was depicted in the movie "Blackhawk Down." Clinton did the same thing by not sending backup for our troops. It is what happens when there is a weak leader who doesn't care or know what he's doing.

Mosquito problem

I would like to know why the city of Cape Girardeau isn't fogging for mosquitoes this year. The residents around the river are being eaten up by the mosquitoes even during the daytime hours. The kids can't even play outside because the mosquitoes are so bad. Why isn't the city doing something about the horrible mosquitoes?

Chicago politics

All of you Obama voters are getting what you should have expected. Chicago politics are get what you need to get done to be elected.

Dole, Reagan

Kudos to Bob Dole. Dole was recently interviewed on Fox News and correctly said Ronald Reagan wouldn't fit in with today's Republican Party.

Historic?

Every time I drive around town and see a building get torn down, I think to myself, "It must be historic."
