The community should realize that Cape public schools is getting ready to spend $1.4 million on computers for every child grades 8-12. Each year after will be another half million dollars. This has not been researched properly and there is no buy-in by teachers or students. There are many districts that have implemented this that have discontinued the program because of all the problems and the huge cost factor.

Teacher requirements

Making college and university requirements for becoming a teacher even more difficult is nonsensical because, pontificate as many do, there is as of yet no empirical data demonstrating with any degree of certainty what makes a good teacher. Of course, that doesn't matter to politicians who know they can score big points with the public by wrongfully attributing poor student test scores to poor teaching.
