You don't know what condition that Winnebago is in. You don't know if people helped her save enough money on cans which she has to do. ...

YOU RICH-LOVING Republicans don't know the facts about that lady in the Winnebago who collects cans. You just look on the surface because she is driving a Winnebago. You don't know what condition that Winnebago is in. You don't know if people helped her save enough money on cans which she has to do. Maybe she works hard, and maybe that Winnebago is all she has got. Maybe she lives in that Winnebago, and maybe a few of her friends might have helped her get to the presidential debate. You are very judgmental all the way through. You are unfair.
It's a matter of trust
THE SOUTHEAST Missourian editorial, "Schools must be doing something right," affirms that our schools are good and we are doing good things. The question of why Jackson cannot pass a bond issue has very little to do with the schools. I think it has a lot to do with who is running the schools and the level of trust that is or is not present.
Something new coming?
I UNDERSTAND Al Gore is anxious to reduce our dependency on foreign oil so that we won't be at the mercy of people like Saddam Hussein who consider us to be the Great Satan. I truly applaud him for that. He is, however, opposed to drilling for oil here in this country. He also stands in opposition to mining for coal, he doesn't want nuclear power plants, and he is not in favor of hydroelectric power plants. I do declare Gore is on the verge of inventing a whole new source of energy.
Abominable characters
YOU CAN take the man out of the honky-tonks and bars and wild life, but you can't take the low-life out of the man as Clinton has proved with his immoral behavior in our honored White House. Clinton and Gore are abominable characters and should be prosecuted for violations of their oath to our highest offices of our land.

She's just a plant
I AGREE with the caller who commented on Al Gore's poor lady who drove all the way to the debate in Massachusetts in a Winnebago. I can't a afford a Winnebago either. She has a wealthy son who offered her money, but she didn't take it. She picks up cans along the road as a hobby. She didn't drive to Massachusetts like Gore said. She is afraid to drive, so Gore's people drove her to Massachusetts in her Winnebago. She is a plant for him to use. He has more lies coming out of his mouth than Clinton even thought of.
Here's another slam
DAVID LIMBAUGH has exhausted all but one derogatory dare I say defamatory? description of Al Gore. However, there are still several weeks left before the election and plenty of time for the acerbic columnist to characterize the vice president as the antichrist.
Courtroom injustice
I JUST read in the paper where the three animals who killed the poor gas station attendant in Sikeston have received a cumulative total of 25 years in prison with one of them so far being convicted of nothing. And none of them has been convicted of murder. I would just like to say that I am incensed, and I hope there is an extra warm place in hell for these animals. May God comfort the family of this poor gas station attendant. There is no amount of gun laws that can slow down gun violence if we continue to allow criminals to be just slapped on the wrist when they murder somebody. I can see why people have no confidence whatsoever in our justice system. The lawyers and judges seem to have really made a mess of our system.
It's out of hand
REGARDING THE story from Lebanon, Tenn., where the police raided the wrong house and shot an innocent man: This goes to show how far out of hand this insane war on drugs really is. Do ordinary citizens no longer have rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment, or is it worth killing our Constitution along with innocent citizens in the name of protecting us from ourselves?
