Congress

In news that should come as no surprise to Americans, who endured the 2013 partial government shutdown and fight over Obamacare, the 113th Congress has been declared the least productive in modern history, the Washington Post reports.

Brazile column

Donna Brazile's column is a breath of fresh air usually surrounded by polluted putrefaction penned by propagandists of the political right.

GOP health plan

Thank you for giving us a little comic relief. We sure need it. I really got a kick out of that reprinted, tongue-in-cheek column, claiming that the Republicans have a health-care plan.

Mail issues

As a senior citizen, I can feel the elderly lady that gets her mail after dark. The computer world is taking a toll on our mail. I also get mail up to 7 p.m. The sad thing is the mail employees deliver at least two routes now, using a flashlight in the dark to read the mailboxes so they get the mail in the right place. This takes away from their families with some having to work all these extra hours.

Health-care costs

Don't look now, but the rise in health-care costs is dropping dramatically. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you, President Obama.
