I am calling about the Christmas parade in Jackson. There were only two bands, one from Meadow Heights and the other from Jackson. They need to have more local bands, since that is what most of the children are there to see. The second problem is having adults walking in the parade. Most of the participants walking in the parade were adults passing out fliers advertising their businesses. If you are going to be in the parade, you need to have a float advertising your business...

IT's becoming obvious that the real purpose of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is to spend money. They want to spend more money now so that their budget becomes bigger, and then the baseline for next year increases. Why would they be putting out sandbags for a levee that they blew up on purpose when the river is not even high enough where it needs sandbags? They are ruining roads so they can spend money fixing roads. They blew up a levee so they can spend money fixing the levee. They're just trying to spend money.

Deer committee

I don't feel that we need to have someone from Jackson on our committee for our deer here in Cape Girardeau. I know people in Jackson's residential areas who feed corn to the deer right in their own backyards. Our problems in Cape Girardeau should be taken care of here in Cape Girardeau by the people of Cape Girardeau.
