A senior citizen lady on Bainbridge Road wishes to thank a large group of teenagers from the Jackson school group who raked and bagged all of her leaves from her yard the week before Thanksgiving. May God bless all of you.
MAYBE watching violent shows on TV all the time is not good.
I'D like to make a comment about the individual who called in about all these people having babies and wanting to know how they are going to support them. These people have been taught for generations that they don't have to work as long as they keep having babies. I remember in the Missourian recently there was some woman that just had her ninth child. It's we the taxpayers taking care of them, and it needs to stop.
I hope the two owners of the rock quarry at Fruitland realize that there was a desecration of two cemeteries there and an Indian burial ground. Something needs to be reported about that to the state. I tried once, but it didn't take hold. I hope they are proud of what they accomplished there with that desecration on the Indian burial ground and the two cemeteries like that. I guess that's what we call progress.
THERE was a comment from somebody in Speak Out regarding the recent birth announcements in the paper of the people who are having children and are not even married. These women and children are suffering because society doesn't take marriage and children seriously, and it starts with the women. Women, why are you doing this to yourself and your children? If you are going to have children, get married to the father first. If you don't care enough, or he doesn't care enough to make that commitment, then it's not the right situation for you. We are creating a nation of insecure children. It doesn't take a village to raise children, it takes a committed family.
AS a farmer, I am all for this new EPA method of wet water farming to alleviate all this dust in the atmosphere and the air. I hope that my fellow farmers will do more research into it and adapt to the newest methods like I have.
IT has been an American tradition that each and every Thanksgiving Day, the sitting president gives a proclamation declaring Thanksgiving Day to be a national day of thanks to God for his blessings on our nation. This Thanksgiving and the two previous our president has given a proclamation, but on all three President Obama never once said who he was giving thanks to, never once declared the day a day to give thanks to God specifically. In other words, no mention of God's name. Does he not know that the pilgrims gave thanks to God on that first Thanksgiving Day? Does he not know that every president from George Washington to George W. Bush has given thanks to God in the Thanksgiving proclamation?
I think it's the media that's causing ADD and ADHD. Look at the television, all of those flashing pictures and the computer changes it so quickly.
I saw a guy listening to radio with headphones and watching TV at the same time. What's that going to do to people's brains?
SOME of these college students need to go back to grammar school and learn something. When you sneak into hostile countries that do not like America, you are taking a risk with your own life, and that is ignorant.
