I wanted to just say "thank you" to the manager, Ben, of a local Cape tire store and one of his customers that went together and paid for two new tires for my pickup just before Christmas. There are still a lot of fine, generous people in the Cape Girardeau area. Thank you very much. God bless you.
I see where they're thinking about maybe the St. Louis Rams moving out to California. Well, I hope they do go. And I hope they take the Cardinals, because I'm tired of hearing about how they need taxpayer dollars to build these new stadiums.
A few years ago we had a county commissioner who was yelling from the rooftops about how wasteful county government had been with our tax money, and the good old boys in office said he was the problem, not them. We voted the vocal commissioner out of office, and now our property taxes have been raised three times, we pay to rent our own park shelters, and now the three RINOs we have in office want to tear down perfectly good buildings in Jackson and replace them with a new $25 million facility.
