There is no room for the belief that the liberation of Kuwait and the neutralizing of Saddam Hussein's military machine will come easily and without cost. As has now been demonstrated, an injured rattlesnake can still bite.

Nevertheless, there is much cause today for national pride in the performance of our military forces, particularly those airmen who are carrying out an enormously dangerous, highly effective mission.
