A judge in the overall competition offered high praise to the staff, citing excellent writing, clean layout and a well-organized product. The judge praised the newspaper as offering news with the future in mind. He added an appropriate "bravo" to the staff.

Much of the credit goes to faculty adviser Pat Heckert, who has passed her expertise and talents onto these young students each year.
