To the editor:
On April 27 my wife and I were traveling south on Interstate 55 between Perryville and Cape Girardeau. We blew a rear tire at 70 mph and pulled over. The vehicle I had just passed pulled over behind us. Two gentlemen driving a small white pickup truck stopped to see if they could be of help. Although we had AAA change the tire, I want you to know that these two individuals were the only folks who stopped in the 40 minutes we were there waiting for AAA help. This is not about those who did not stop, but rather it's a thank you to the two men who did. We were appreciative of the fact that these two individuals stopped to render aid. We are also grateful to the wrecker service out of Perryville for its response, and to Ken, service adviser at Auffenberg Chrysler in Cape Girardeau. Nice folks you have there in and around Cape Girardeau.
