The West Park Mall celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend with a "Cracker Jack" idea. On Friday and Saturday, United Way volunteers sold 25,000 boxes of Cracker Jacks. Mall merchants donated prizes that were placed in hundreds of the boxes.

The promotion quickly generated $21,700 for United Way. It proved so successful, in fact, that the treats sold out one day earlier than expected. Both mall officials and United Way officials were overwhelmed by the response.
