To the editor:

It's only paper and ink.

What power can it hold?

How can it influence the mind of man

It's only paper and ink.

What can it help or harm?

How can it change the day ahead

With the news it may inform?

It's only paper and ink.

Nevertheless I have no doubt

It's an item that has come into people's lives

They refuse to live without.

It's only paper and ink.

Why is it wanted so?

Perhaps it's freedom of speech

And our desire to know.
