LETTERS: CGAIRA BACKS PLANNING, ZONING VOTE FOR COUNTY

To the editor:

The Cape Girardeau Area Industrial Recruitment Association is in full support of the proposed countywide planning and zoning for the long-term growth of the county and for the protection of our outstanding quality of life.

When large companies consider our area for a new plant location, they want to know their investment is well-protected. Planning and zoning provide this protection. No company wants to locate where unplanned growth occurs, which could mean new homes or undesirable businesses locating next to a plant. Planning and zoning would protect all residents.
