LETTERS: BARBARA BLANCHARD DESERVES HONOR

To the editor:

Hurrah for Barbara Blanchard upon having received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award. She is most deserving of this honor. The one who nominated her and the group choosing her chose well. Mrs. Blanchard truly stands for and practices the ideals for which she was given the award.

She has been a great inspiration to many people and has touched many lives through the years. She is one of the many great educators who have retired, much to the loss of the schools. May those entering the teaching profession follow her example and demonstrate the commitment, patience, caring and love that Barbara Blanchard has shown.
