To the editor:

Regarding Joe Sullivan's Sept. 25 column, "This column is about something, but I can't remember what," if you have a memory problem, see your doctor. If you are making a confession, see your clergy. If we want humor, we can tune into Jeff Foxworthy.

Somehow we feel we are bound to expect more from the editor. Granted, our subscription dollars have very little place to go. It's between the Post of St. Louis, which is 90 percent advertising, or the biased, one-sided Southeast Missourian. I can assure you we will look long and hard before we renew our subscription to your paper if this is the best you can come up with.

The only thing in your favor for the column: It was not a slur to the presidency, which your paper has absolutely no respect for whatsoever. Not just Clinton, but any Democrat. I am not a Democrat. I consider all sides.
