recognizing our community's educators, we acknowledge the importance of a firm foundation that comes only from the many dedicated teachers and administrators who toil each school year to give young minds opportunities to explore, question and grow.

The four Jackson School District educators recently honored by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce exemplify the best of their profession. It's interesting to note that Carol Horst, Ken Markin, Jean Schweain and Dennis Parham all like what they do and get a great deal of satisfaction from the life's work they have chosen.

Parham, principal at R.O. Hawkins Junior High School, said it well: The students make the job enjoyable.

Indeed, the students of the Jackson district and their parents are privileged to have such dedication, experience and professionalism in their public schools.
