To the editor: Again, the major oil companies report their greatest profits ever while we pay more than ever for a gallon of gasoline. Then we are told President Bush will look into the matter. Do you ask the fox to guard the henhouse? What is one to do? I say, "Revolt!" For me, it's personal. It's how I choose to live my life, the consumer decisions I make, the products I don't purchase...

Again, the major oil companies report their greatest profits ever while we pay more than ever for a gallon of gasoline. Then we are told President Bush will look into the matter. Do you ask the fox to guard the henhouse?

What is one to do? I say, "Revolt!" For me, it's personal. It's how I choose to live my life, the consumer decisions I make, the products I don't purchase.

That barrel of oil is more than the gas in your car. It's the war -- don't get me started, mega-agribusiness, the chemical industry, those plastic toys you buy your kids, the polyester clothes your wear and on and on.

When 1 percent of our American population controls over 40 percent of the country's wealth and the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, it's time for a revolution.
