Dr. Dan Cotner of Cape Girardeau wears so many hats that you sometimes wonder if he wears more than one at a time. For example, the longtime dentist is a church organist, provides piano accompaniment for the weekly meetings of the Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau, has been involved with Notre Dame High School musicals for years, is a longtime supporter of public radio at Southeast Missouri State University, among many, many more community and civic activities...

Dr. Dan Cotner of Cape Girardeau wears so many hats that you sometimes wonder if he wears more than one at a time. For example, the longtime dentist is a church organist, provides piano accompaniment for the weekly meetings of the Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau, has been involved with Notre Dame High School musicals for years, is a longtime supporter of public radio at Southeast Missouri State University, among many, many more community and civic activities.

But that's not all. Cotner also has participated in numerous missions sponsored by his church and by Rotary International, serving over the years as a volunteer dentist in Mexico, Guatemala, the Philippines, Ecuador, Brazil, Pakistan and Hong Kong.

His many contributions to the overall betterment of his world has earned Cotner special recognition from Rotary International. Each year the worldwide service club honors up to just 150 members with its Service Above Self Award. Cotner is a deserving recipient of Rotary's highest honor.
