David Landewee takes first steps

To the editor:

It is not even three months post-surgery, and I was able to walk with braces yesterday. My muscles are still quite weak, and we are slowly turning the pump down to regain control and strength in my legs. I said I would be walking in one year. At my current rate of progress, it is not a wish or dream anymore but an obtainable objective. Thanks to all for your support and prayers.
