To the editor: Donn S. Miller is on the right track with his letter to the editor. I appreciate his thinking. With technology the way it is, I do not understand why we are buying Army berets from China. What will stop China from putting microscopic coding in the berets? By doing so, China would be able to locate our troops during conflict. ...

Donn S. Miller is on the right track with his letter to the editor. I appreciate his thinking. With technology the way it is, I do not understand why we are buying Army berets from China. What will stop China from putting microscopic coding in the berets? By doing so, China would be able to locate our troops during conflict. I would not want to be a GI knowing that in combat my location can be found any time. There is nothing to stop the enemy from taking our American troops out when the enemy knows the exact location and how many are at the location. In a conventional war, a simple transmitter with a few tweaks could probably do the trick.
