Synder is director of the Illinois corrections department. He attended a conference in Phoenix. He flew to the meeting while two bodyguards drove his special car to Phoenix to be used during the four-day conference. You know, getting to restaurants and the like. Meanwhile, two other Illinois officials at the conference also rented cars. You know, getting to restaurants and the like.
There's no dollar figure on the final tab for all of this. But that's the best part. Maybe you can get Illinois taxpayers to pay for your vacation. That's the way to travel.
