To the editor: Recently I read a letter from Patricia Parmer, and I could not believe it. It was like the thoughts and feelings jumped right out of me. I too graduated from Metro Business College and got placed in a temporary job that was supposed to lead to something more. Right before my 90-day probation period was up, I was let go. I know exactly how Parmer feels and what she is going through...

Recently I read a letter from Patricia Parmer, and I could not believe it. It was like the thoughts and feelings jumped right out of me.

I too graduated from Metro Business College and got placed in a temporary job that was supposed to lead to something more. Right before my 90-day probation period was up, I was let go. I know exactly how Parmer feels and what she is going through.

Nobody wants to give someone who has no experience a chance. I graduated in 1999 and am working in a factory for minimum wage. What I lack in experience I make up for in the important things like willingness to learn, courtesy and hard work.

I know how frustrating it is to keep getting turned down over and over.
