The 73-year-old leader of Toots and the Maytals had filed a $20 million lawsuit in 2014, accusing Venture Richmond of negligence in planning security and alcoholic-beverage sales.

William Connor Lewis received a six-month jail sentence for throwing the bottle.

Hibbert's attorneys said Hibbert received a concussion and was left with an altered personality.
