Soul songstresses Alicia Keys, Aaliyah and India.Arie, who have dominated the music awards season, each had three nominations for the 16th annual Soul Train Music Awards. Soul songstresses Alicia Keys, Aaliyah and India.Arie, who have dominated the music awards season, each had three nominations for the 16th annual Soul Train Music Awards.

India.Arie is up for seven Grammy nominations for her debut album "Acoustic Soul," while Keys is up for six Grammys for the album "Songs in A Minor" and Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash last August at age 22, has one nomination. The Grammy Awards will be given out Feb. 27.

Keys and Aaliyah each had two wins at last month's American Music Awards.

The Soul Train awards honor rhythm & blues, soul, hip-hop, rap and gospel performances.

Winners will be announced March 20 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, and the show will be rebroadcast.
