The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra will hold its second annual Symphony Preview July 24 in Rose Theatre on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
The Symphony Preview will feature a free concert at 3 p.m. on the stage of Rose Theatre.
The concert will include a performance of the beautiful "Flute Quartet in C Major" by Mozart, as well as several other works for string quartet. Performing on the concert will be Southeast faculty members Paul Thompson, flute; Brandon Christensen, violin; and Sara Edgerton, cello. Also performing with the ensemble will be Michelle Suhr, violin, and Kyle Miller, viola.
This program of short classical works will provide a sampling of some of the composers whose works will be included in the 2005-2006 Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra Concert Series. One special highlight of the 2005-2006 concert series will be a performance of Mozart's inspirational Requiem; hence, the Symphony Preview Concert will include a lovely chamber work by the great master.
