Registration is open for the Southeast Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance's annual summer Theatre and Dance Academy at Southeast's River Campus.
The academy is an intensive theater and dance educational experience for students in kindergarten through high school. The classes cover a variety of interests from dancing to acting.
All classes will be taught by an experienced and qualified faculty member of the university, a graduate of the program or a senior-level theater and dance student. Each instructor will have a student assistant.
All classes will meet Monday through Friday. Classes for the entire week range from $125 to $475. Partial tuition assistance is available for qualified applicants.
Students will need to provide their dance shoes and dance attire. Students participating in ballet classes will need ballet slippers, a leotard and tights. Jazz dance participants will need a soft jazz shoe, leotard and tights or jazz pants.
Deadline for registration is May 30 or when all classes are filled.
