Four exhibitions of works created by emerging artists in Southeast Missouri State University's Department of Art will be on display during the 2015 Graduating Seniors Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibitions at the River Campus Art Gallery.
"This spring we have four, one-week shows for the BFA exhibitions so that each graduating senior has plenty of room to display the body of work they developed throughout their last two semesters of coursework in their area of specialization," Kristin Powers Nowlin, gallery coordinator, said in a news release.
The first of the four exhibitions will run from Monday through April 24, with a closing reception from 5 and 7 p.m. April 24.
The next exhibition will be April 27 through May 1, with a closing reception from 5 to 7 p.m. May 1.
The third will be displayed May 4 to May 8, with a closing reception from 5 to 7 p.m. May 8.
The final exhibition will be open from May 11 to May 15, with a closing reception from 5 to 7 p.m. May 15
Works presented are in ceramics, digital art, graphic design, illustration, painting, printmaking and sculpture, representing Southeast's art programs and the creativity of its students.
All exhibitions and receptions will be in the River Campus Art Gallery, which is on the first floor of the Seminary Building in room 106.
River Campus Art Gallery hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1 to 7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. More information is available by contacting Powers Nowlin at rcgallerycoordinator@semo.edu or 651-5901.
