The annual Juried Student Exhibition is being hosted April 10 through 26 at Crisp Museum on the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

The public is invited to an opening reception from 4 to 8 p.m. April 10.

The exhibition showcases the creative talents of Southeast Department of Art students.

Merit awards and honorable mention awards will be presented in each of the following categories: color composition/design foundations, 3-D, drawing, painting, fibers, graphic design/illustration, digital art, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. Best in Show and the Distinguished Merit Award also will be presented.

This is a significant show for Southeast students, showcasing selected works that have been created within the past year. Many of the works on view will be available for purchase.

Each year, a professional artist is selected to act as juror for the exhibition and to exhibit a solo show of their own work.

This year's juror is Chris Kahler, professor of painting and drawing, as well as the graduate coordinator for the Department of Art at Eastern Illinois University.
