There is a scream in the night-
the sound of ecstacy - a cat's call.
Reminding me of past fullfillments,
and the human windfall.
Fronds curl, frozen by time
as trees scratch the dark sky.
Frog voices wait for next spring,
when the bugs will start to fly.
Luna is sliced a bit too thin
as it winks behind the clouds.
And the wind is silently calm,
resisting the natural howl.
Heavenward it is diamond bright.
Saturn cuts through the dark.
And I behold the universe,
holding Earth the matriarch.
Venus undressed captures my eyes
with her glimmering vanity,
while Mars blinks and blushes
for me and humanity.
There is a scream in the night-
the sound of ecstacy - a cat's call.
Reminding me of past fullfillments,
and the human windfall.
