Jenn Henderson, the singer of blues-rock outfit Mojo Filter, gives us her picks.
1. "Imagine" -- John Lennon
This is a song that has always been close to me, even as a little girl. My father is a big Lennon fan.
2. "So Far Away" -- Carole King
Actually, if this were top five albums, her "Tapestry" would be my No. 1. There isn't a song on there that doesn't move me.
3. "Big White Gate" -- Grace Potter and The Nocturnals
This is a new group for me. I saw them on Nov. 3 and fell in love. The words of this song are amazing! I find myself listening to it at least once a day!
4. "Whipping Post" -- The Allman Brothers
Do I really have to explain why this made it on the list?
This song gets me on my feet, the build is what music is all about!!
5. "Voodoo Women" -- CoCo Taylor/Susan Tedeschi
One of my favorite songs to listen to and to sing! First done by CoCo, then by Susan. It's just a great blues jam!!
