James Brown's wife clears slate before marriage

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- A family court judge has dissolved the first marriage of the wife of singer James Brown, clearing the way for an annulment between her and the Godfather of Soul. Family Court Judge Charlie Segars-Andrews signed an order Thursday dissolving Tomi Rae Brown's previous marriage on the grounds that it was never consummated. Tomi Rae Brown, 33, married the 70-year-old singer three years ago while still legally married to Javed Ahmed of Pakistan. The soul singer filed for an annulment of his marriage to Tomi Rae after he was charged with criminal domestic violence in January. His attorney said Brown plans to remarry Tomi Rae after the annulment is granted.

'CSI' star takes on role of good Samaritan

LOS ANGELES -- Sofia Milos, star of the CBS drama "CSI: Miami," can add the title of good Samaritan to her resume. During an appearance on "The Late Late Show" on Friday, Milos told host Craig Kilborn she recently helped an elderly woman stuck in the back seat of a car that was rolling into traffic. Milos said she put her car in park and ran after the car, which was moving slowly. "I put my foot in (the car), pull the brake and stop the car," she said. "I look back and basically the car stopped about a foot from the oncoming traffic." Milos said two men arrived to help the woman. Milos continued on to work.
