These are the 10 songs Nikki Stallion of Cape Girardeau wouldn't want to live without:
1. "Closer to Fine" -- The Indigo Girls
It reminds me of college and a more carefree lifestyle and time.
2. "To Sir with Love" -- Lulu
I am a bit young to know this song but was raised on Stax-a-wax! Love the song and the movie.
3. "Good Enough" -- Sarah McLachlan
One of my all-time favorite artists and a song full of real emotion.
4. "Revolution" -- Kirk Franklin
A fun Christian rap song -- go figure, Christian and rap, but it works!
5. "Linger" -- The Cranberries
This song makes me think I can sing, which I can't, but it's a fun song as long as you are not within earshot distance of me while I am listening to it! Plus, I have always loved their sound. No one can duplicate it.
6. "No Rain" -- Blind Melon
How can you not be happy when listening to this song, except to remember that he killed himself, BUT, the happy bees!! (You had to see the video.)
7. "Don't Know Why" -- Norah Jones
One of my new favs. Great new young vocal artist and pianist. Would highly recommend anyone to check this CD out.
8. "Flowers on the Wall" -- the Statler Brothers
OK, anyone who knows me will think this is odd, but as a child, I was a HUGE country music fan. Loved the song then, probably because of the Captain Kangaroo lyric, but when it came out on the soundtrack for "Pulp Fiction," the love was renewed.
9. "Pass the Mic" -- The Beastie Boys
In school, my roommate and I were DJs at the college radio station. Every show was started with this song (my choice) and ended with Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" (her choice).
10. "At Last" -- Etta James
Talk about a song every single woman can't wait to sing!
