Karlish took some time before 2009 ended to tell us what he thought you should look for on the shelves in 2010. His list doesn't include local CD releases, so check SE Live through the year for updates on those projects.

Lil Wayne, 'Rebirth'

Six release dates have come and gone and still no "Rebirth," the hip-hop artist's venture across musical lines. If Lil Wayne's rock album does see daylight this year, it will be one of the year's biggest releases.

Rob Zombie, 'Hellbilly Deluxe 2'

A last-minute switch of record labels forced this CD to be pushed back from November to February. It's the sequel to his 1998 solo debut.

Lady Antebellum, 'Need You Now'

The country/pop single has been out since August. It has been one of the most asked about albums of the past few months. It's scheduled for release Jan. 26.

Devo, 'Fresh'

The masters of American New Wave who brought you "Whip it" return to recording after 20 years. It's been too long.

Usher, 'Raymond V. Raymond'

One of the biggest R&B releases on the horizon. Usher's albums have been remarkably consistent. This should be no different.

MGMT, 'Congratulations'

The band's debut album "Oracular Spectacular" sells more now than it did upon its release nearly two years ago. A young band whose star is on the rise.

Slash, 'Slash and Friends'

Guest stars abound on his debut. Four of the five original members of Guns N' Roses are among them.

Drive By Truckers, 'The Big To Do'

Group leader Patterson Hood claims that this will be their most rock-oriented material since "Southern Rock Opera" in 2001.

Blink 182, 'TBD'

The reunited punk rock trio is set to begin recording its first album in seven years. Look for this one in the fall.

Ozzy Osbourne, 'Soul Sucka'

Many fans will be curious to see how Ozzy sounds without the recently fired guitarist/songwriter Zakk Wylde. This should be out in time to cash in on the summer touring season.
