The infamous pot advocate, tax evader and all-around country music outlaw Willie Nelson will come to the Show Me Center with his band The Family on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
Nelson has gained quite a reputation over the last decade or so for his exploits in marijuana, with appearances on movies like "Half-Baked," and for his troubles with the IRS. But that's only part of the story of his 60-plus year career as a country superstar who has sung legendary recordings like "Crazy," "Hello Walls," "Red Headed Stranger," "Stardust" and, who can forget, "On the Road Again."
Nelson's newest album, "Countryman," is a mix of reggae and country with, what else, a pot leaf on the cover. Rasta, mon.
Tickets are on sale now at the Show Me Center box office by calling 651-5000 or by visiting www.showmecenter.biz. Tickets are also available at Schnuks in Cape Girardeau and all P-Mac Music locations.
