Nick Ervin of Cape Girardeau submitted this photo of his tattoo by artist John Shelton. "Superman, even as an alien, represents the best of humanity. Truth. Justice. The American Way," Ervin said. "He originally had the strength of 10 men, but at many points in his history could move planets. He's fought gods, saved the universe and even battled Muhammad Ali, as depicted in the tattoo. For seven years running, when I was a child, he was the Halloween costume of choice. Superman is the original superhero. My wife and I even named our first born after his secret identity."
