Illinois state fair seeks entertainment talent

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The Illinois state fair is looking for musical and other performing artists to perform for free at this year's fair. Selected artists will be able to showcase their talents on one of the numerous free outdoor stages offered this year throughout the fairgrounds. Interested parties must submit a promotional packet consisting of name of the group, contact person, address, day and evening phone numbers and a demo in CD, DVD or cassette form. All should be mailed to Illinois state fair, Attn: Pati Kohlbecker, P.O. Box 19427, Springfield, Ill., 62794-9427. Deadline for submissions is April 29.
