Rowena Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw is recognized for her cleverness and creativity, just like students in her house. She was rumored to be very beautiful and wore a jeweled diadem.

Helga Hufflepuff

While the other houses tend to choose students based on certain qualities, Hufflepuff is accepting of all. Pupils in her house tend to be hardworking and loyal.

Godric Gryffindor

A wizard of medieval times, Gryffindor valued honor, strength and bravery. He was once good friends with Salazar Slytherin, but the pair split when they disagreed about accepting muggle-born students into Hogwarts.

Salazar Slytherin

A pure-blood wizard with a distaste for anything muggle. Slytherin was a parselmouth, hence the association with a snake. He left Hogwarts after the other founders would not agree to ban muggle-borns. Before he left, he created the Chamber of Secrets and hid a basilisk inside it.
