Historic sites stitch together quilt tour

Area historic sites are teaming up to host a two-day quilt tour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 and from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 27.

Two-day tickets, $10, are available at the Cape Girardeau County History Center, 102 S. High St. in Jackson, and the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau, 400 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.

In addition to the history center, tour stops will include The Glenn House, 325 S. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau; the Oliver House Museum, Jackson Heritage Association, 224 E. Adams St. in Jackson; and The Red House Interpretive Center, 128 S. Main St. in Cape Girardeau.

St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 804 N. Cape Rock Drive in Cape Girardeau, will host Quilt R's Market & More on Sept. 26, with proceeds benefiting Church Women United. It will include a quilt display, bake sale, lunch service, quilting supplies and more. Admission is free. Vendor space is available.
