The Garden Tea Party Saturday, June 22, at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center, 2289 County Park Drive in Cape Girardeau. Volunteer Jamie Koehler showed attendees several plants native to Missouri that can be used to make teas before taking them back to the center's patio for a tea party featuring food and drink made from native plants. The party was one of several educational events being held at the center this summer including the Outdoor Adventure Camp, Tuesday, June 25 to Wednesday, June 26, Dutch Oven Drop-by and Tools of the past, Saturday, June 29, Wild Edibles, Saturday, July 6, Gone Frogging, Friday, July 19, and Fishing 101 Saturday, July 27.
