Christine Bauer will provide music during the opening of a show featuring works by Effingham, Ill.-artists Jan VanBokel and John Gabb. Bauer plays original acoustic songs that detail her travels in North America and various covers of classic numbers.

Arts Council
The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will have the monthly exhibit of work from members of the Visual Arts Cooperative as well as plein air paintings by Ann Molasky Ibur. Awards will be given out and artwork on display for the annual Missouri's 8th Congressional District Student Art Competition hosted by U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson.

The Crowe Gallery
Cape Girardeau Central High School Senior Art Exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, printmaking, weavings, photographs, sculpture and ceramics from 35 seniors under the direction of Robert Friedrich, Elizabeth Thomas and Judy Barks-Westrich. Opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. and will also be open from noon to 3 Saturday.
