Artist Rachel Silvers will show her paintings and drawings in a show titled "Suits and Mind" at 5 p.m. The Big Idea providing background (and foreground) music from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Aartful Rose

Christine Bauer will provide music during the opening of a show featuring works by Effingham, Ill.-artists Jan VanBokel and John Gabb. Bauer plays original acoustic songs that detail her travels in North America and various covers of classic numbers.

Edward Bernard

The Edward Bernard Gallery will feature the photography of David Strom. "The Art of Light" features photographs that convey the feeling and emotion of being in a certain place at a certain time.

Arts Council

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will have the monthly exhibit of work from members of the Visual Arts Cooperative as well as plein air paintings by Ann Molasky Ibur. Awards will be given out and artwork on display for the annual Missouri's 8th Congressional District Student Art Competition hosted by U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson.

The Crowe Gallery

Cape Girardeau Central High School Senior Art Exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, printmaking, weavings, photographs, sculpture and ceramics from 35 seniors under the direction of Robert Friedrich, Elizabeth Thomas and Judy Barks-Westrich. Opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. and will also be open from noon to 3 Saturday.
