The December art exhibit features the work of local artist Jenny Dugan. She lives in Cape Girardeau with her husband Michael and her two daughters, Autumn and Nicole. She likes to hike with her dog June. She is a member of Gallery of Inspiration in downtown Cape. The artist says: "'ABUNDANCE' is a collection of Zentangle ink drawings and photography that reflects on nature's capacity for creating emotional and spiritual healing." The reception will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Social's Cafe and Catering will be a Hot Chocolate Bar during this First Friday, perfect to warm people up while they admire the artwork on display by Arts Council Member Artist Rusty Newton. Newton is well known for her charming Santa paintings, which will be on display throughout the holiday season. Walk-ins will be welcome throughout the First Friday evening to see the artwork.
