While some galleries decided to stay closed for an extended holiday, many others will open their doors and show off their goods for art lovers from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Today marks the First Friday of the new year. While some galleries decided to stay closed for an extended holiday, many others will open their doors and show off their goods for art lovers from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Grab a coat and take a walk to one of these exhibitions for a bit of bright color and inspiring images during the cold, dark winter.

Black Door Gallery

The Black Door Gallery will involve instead of impress visitors. Patrons will receive materials and instruction to create Artist Trading Cards, small pieces of art that artists trade with others in the show.

WESTRAY Studio

A bird display with drawings by Jeanie Eddlemann and photographs by Dr. Joel Ray. Eddlemann will also have portraits on display.

The Artist Studio

Judy Barks-Westrich will exhibit new work for the new year. She will also have a list of new workshops for amateur and experienced artists.
