Arts Council of Southeast Missouri
The Arts Council, 32 N. Main St., will forgo its usual First Friday reception for its Children's Arts Festival this month. The festival takes place Sunday, with a free concert at Academic Hall Auditorium at 3 p.m. and an artists and authors reception at the arts council at 4 p.m. Students from 12 schools in three counties participated. Broadway Books and Roasting
Broadway Books and Roasting, 605 Broadway, will host a presentation of the international new media art show "Freewaves." The show, presented via Wi-Fi connection, features film, video and new media art from around the world, shown on projection screens. WESTRAY featuring the Cat Ranch Art Guild
The WESTRAY gallery, 1930 Broadway, will feature the work of Cat Ranch Art Guild member Wilma Stratton, who specializes in stained art glass. The gallery will also display work from other guild artists. The gallery will be open from noon to 9 p.m. for a reception, and starting this month is open from noon to 6 p.m. every day except Sunday.
