Let me first say that any movie starring Owen Wilson should be great. The man is hilarious.

The film is just average: not bad, but not fantastic. Its saving grace is Owen Wilson's great line delivery and his ability to be so lovable while being such an annoyance.

Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson try to be convincing as newlyweds, but something is lacking.

Michael Douglas, however, does a great job in his role of one of those overbearing in-laws who don't want to share their grown child with another person.

"You, Me and Dupree" is not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It's worth the time.

Three and a half stars (out of four)

"You, Me and Dupree" is a really good movie about true friendship. Owen Wilson, while being an irresponsible slacker and a self-titled "lover of life," shows his audience what true friendship is about when he defends his buddy's shortcomings, even at his own expense.

This movie made me laugh from beginning to end as it explored several different relationships: best friends, father/ son-in-law and husband/wife.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone who falls into any of those categories. You'll laugh out loud.
