Three and a half (out of four)

If you enjoy a good action movie with several plot twists, "The Bourne Supremacy" will definitely fill the bill.

This movie picks up where its predecessor left off, with the character of Jason Bourne living in India.

At the same time, in Berlin a group from Russia with ties to his past is setting Bourne up for the murders of a CIA agent and a contact. With this, the action begins and does not let up until the very end, especially with the chase scene through the streets of Moscow near the end of the movie.

Not having seen the "The Bourne Identity," I was not sure about going to see the sequel. This particular movie though, unlike many sequels, is able to stand on its own.

Considering how good this movie is from start to finish, it has me wanting to go and rent "The Bourne Identity" to see what I have missed.

Three and a half stars (out of four)

This is a world where it's difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys and espionage depends upon financial resources. Spies place their loyalty based upon compensation, and intelligence agencies are led by people lacking adequate information. A spy with amnesia can face challenges to stay alive.

This is a spy movie for current times. Considering recent developments in the American intelligence community, it is difficult to tell which part of the movie is truth and which is fiction.

"The Bourne Supremacy" is action-packed. There are obligatory violent scenes, but the violence is related to the plot.

Spectacular scenery from locations that include India, Russia and parts of Europe, along with amazing chase scenes, make this film worth watching.

Jason Bourne demonstrates the real talents and skills a spy would have to possess to stay alive.

Four stars (out of four)

"The Bourne Supremacy" is not so much about a man who has lost his memory, but about what happens when you have recovered your memory and realize that you are actually a bad man.

Despite its graphic violence, the film also has a good, though subtle, message about making amends for wrongdoing.

It is quite impressive how Bourne knows he is a killer and his journey to unveil the past is his way of seeking forgiveness. He apologizes to the relative of one of his victims, but does not offer any other help.

A buffed-up Damon does a great job with the role and is very compelling. The plot is well-planned and the pacing and other performances are perfect. The many stunts are impressive.

The payoff is a suspense-filled, heart-pounding drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
