I liked this movie because it was different from others of its type, placing emphasis on the story rather than special effects. The story was new and refreshing and didn't have to rely on the same old explosions and gunfire.

Two and a half stars (out of four)

Filled with deception, love, frustration and confusion, "After the Sunset" has all of the ingredients of a good jewel-heist movie, but the plot has been done to death. Although, the humor was not that bad.

I knew what was going to happen before the movie ended, and the only surprise was the character Stan Lloyd, played by Woody Harrelson.

Lloyd, an FBI agent who was once duped by jewel thieves Max Burdett (Pierce Brosnan) and Lola Cirillo (Salma Hayek), goes to their retreat to stir things up.

The mixture of Harrelson's comedy and Brosnan's masculinity bring about awkward situations for their two characters throughout the movie. It is the odd relationship between the two of them that keeps the movie going.

Although "After the Sunset" was entertaining, there was nothing unique about it.
