ST. LOUIS -- Charles Dickens' immortal story "A Christmas Carol" is a cultural icon, tied as closely to our Christmas culture as candy canes.
This year you can see the story come to life on stage with just a short drive.
Starting today and continuing through Sunday, the Fox Theatre in St. Louis will host a stage production of "A Christmas Carol" by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range from $16.50 to $32.50.
Of course, the play is packed full of carols, from "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" to "Away in a Manger." The Nebraska Theatre Caravan is in its 28th year of "A Christmas Carol" touring productions.
