Two roads lay before me
To break the path I'm on
One dark, sinister, and rocky
The other one well-worn
One road I am to choose
The decision mine to make
Yet I sit here in confusion
Which road should I take?
I sit by the side pondering
The decision leaving me torn
Different travelers pass me by
Taking the road that's well-worn
They travel down the easy road
Never pausing in their stride
The decision for them is easy
Yet I can't seem to decide
The well-worn path looks peaceful
No obstacles seen to be won
Yet will that road have been the best
When my traveling is done?
The darkened road looks frightening
Obstacles seen everywhere
Yet will I come out a better person
If I choose this one of the pair?
I sit and look down each road
Feeling that I should wait
And leave it in another's hands
The decision give up to fate
Yet I know I cannot do this
I am the one that must weigh
The consequences of my decision
Face the road come what may
I am still sitting by the road
Watching travelers choose one
Will I ever make my choice
Before my time on earth is done?
